I will never forget Neil Diamond performing in "The Last Waltz" wearing a powder blue sports jacket. Talk about looking out of step with your surroundings.

A couple of weeks ago I walked through the living room while my daughters were watching "American Idol" and Neil Diamond was the guest advisor, or whatever they call them. He looked pretty good for his age. Unfortunately that age is about 136....
