I have a laptop which I use in my home office, where I attach a 20" monitor which provides a much higher resolution. This is where I do most of my work.

A few days a month, I travel with my laptop.

That's when I have trouble with disappearing windows. Many applications (such as VFP) remember the size and position of windows. When I move to my laptop, with the lower resolution, many of my windows then appear with the right and bottom borders out of the visible area. In some cases, the entire window is not visible.

I can maximize the windows easily enough, but of course hate doing that.

Any suggestions on how to handle this problem?
