I know you also have a read events.

Your seteup is contradicting itself. Either you want no main screen (screen=off) or you want it (_screen.visible=.t.), Your main form should be ShowWindow = 2 (Top Level) and the other forms ShowWindow= 1 (In Top Level Form), the way around you have it makes no sense.
