That was my undercover gig. You see, I circulated amongst y'all unknowingly and then reported the troublemakers and malcontents to the Developer Division Secret Police. They would take the carrot or stick approach - hmmm - do we send the "good cop" Ken Levy to iron out feathers or the "bad cop" - HE THAT HAS NO NAME - to make 'em disappear.

Sure, I miss my firstborn child - wazzitz name - and my soul, but the branding was removed by cosmetic surgery so that worked out.

Those prions never took root, also, must have been a fluke of my neural chemistry, so I was always able to say "VFP is great, .Net not so much" without as many nervous tics as a lot of the others. I doggone near could pass polygraphs!

Anyway, all of that is behind me. Just the other day, I was coding:

Dim iQuarter As Integer = 25
Dim cQuarter As "$." & iQuarter.ToString

...and I thought, oh, how elegant the ToString conversion event. Wow, that quasi-objectifying stuff in .Net is really cool and so mush easier than VFP's TRANSFORM() and ... oh, no...NO....ah....Ahhh....AHHHHHHHHH!

>You worked for M$? Dang, I just thought you liked to go to conferences and hang!<g> Gee, I miss those....
