Isn't it a little speculative to talk about what the foreign policy of any candidate would be like? The one thing we know for sure is no matter what they say, they almost always wind up reacting to unforeseen events rather than implementing a policy. By definition these events are not under the President's control.

It's also iffy to compare current leaders to leaders during the Cold War, regardless of party. It was a different world then. We were facing an enemy that literally could have destroyed the world.
