>I must be confusing you and myself <g>. When you said "code compilation not execution", I thought you meant that I can't have the #IFDEF branch code when running it in IDE.

By issuing or not #DEFINE MyConstant you'll tell VFP wich part of code to compile. It doesn't matter if you run that code in IDE or in runtime after that.
