I noticed in the universal thread that several people were making references to VFP killing indexes.

We have a situation at our company that is similar. We are usig 2.6 DBFs with CDX indexes. When we do mass replaces of an indexed field in 2.6 there doesn't seem to be a poblem. However, if we use VFP to perform the same operation on the 2.6 table, often times the indexes blow. Can this be ? Is this something we should avoid? Any information you have on the subject would be greatly appreciated.
