Well, it might have looked more classy that way, but mainly I was mostly sitting there waiting to fall through.
I've found that to be a problem with VWs. You put 500,000 or 750,000 klicks on them (approx. 300,000 to 475,000 miles to you folks south of the border), the engine is still going stong, and the next thing you know the body is disintigrating around you. If the body was as long lived as the engine, man! Now that would be a car worth having.
