If you use some code like this
myPrinter = [My local printer]
set printer to &myPrinter
instead of
myPrinter = [My local printer]
set printer to (myPrinter)
...then the 'blanks' will cause the trouble

Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first place.
Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you are,
