We have a weird situation in trying to comply with California law; we want to make sure our employees get paid appropriately. We have a 15-minute grace period before and after clock-in and clock-out.

In the memory variables we have the clock-in and clock-out times. We reduce everything from hours and minutes down to minutes in order to calculate the hours worked.

We are fine with our calculations until someone goes outside normal clock-in and out parameters. We assume that someone will work a normal shift of 8 hours. Unfortunately that is not reality; my predecesor made this assumption and that is part of how he comes up with the hours worked.

Is there a program on this forum (or elsewhere) which handles time card processing whose code I could review with perhaps similar rules?
