>>>I bought the book from Hentzenwerke on how to go from VFP to SQL Server. Is it enough to do a good transition from VFP to SQL Server? If not what else would you recommend? Whitepaper?

>>The book is very good in covering the transition from VFP to SQL Server. The best suggestions I can recommend as supplemental infromation is anything about application multi-layered design. My point is that the technical transition from one data store to another and the syntatical differences between those data stores is only part of how systems need to change their design to move to the disconnected multi-layered architecture. One also needs to alter thw way they build user-interfaces and reports, adapting to application multiple access points (Desktop, Internet, mobile devices, etc.) all need to be addressed in the application's complete design. The key being there is more to moving forward with your applications than just putting the data somewhere else.
