What more could Gore have done? He contested the announced Florida result until the Supreme Court stopped the recount. He literally had no appeals left.

I like a candidate who wants to win. What I don't like is one who doesn't care how much damage she does by clinging to a vanishing hope. That comment the other day about RFK being assassinated in June, although probably not meant the way some took it (as a wish Obama would be assassinated), showed her mindset. She would take any victory, no matter how grubby or tainted. She has led a life of privilege yet is willing to reinvent herself, mid-campaign, as a gun-toting, beer-gulping blue collar populist if there appear to be votes in it. Tenacity is a good trait in a candidate, but so is class.
