Title:
Difficulty Using OneInstance.VCX
Greetings!
Nancy Folsom directed me to the ONEINSTANCE.VCX in the Files area in response to my wanting to test whether an application is already running.
The VCX works great, except that I cannot run a second FoxPro app that is DIFFERENT from the first occurrence. In other words, the VCX properly tests for whether the currently loading app is already running. However, if a differnt app built in FoxPro is started, the VCX thinks this is a second occurrence, too.
The problem appears to be that the VCX is looking at the FoxPro engine or the _SCREEN variable for the actual name versus the title of the form. My apps are both using Top Level forms with the _SCREEN turned off. I made a slight change to the VCX to prevent it from turning the _SCREEN back on when the app is re-activated. I've experimented with the _SCREEN properties and the Application object but cannot trick the VCX into thinking that that the two FoxPro apps are both valid.
Any assistance would be very appreciated. Thank you!
