>>In case you haven't received the email floating around the internet yet, here is the letter posted in the Hays Daily News by columnist Will Manly (from his blog):

>>I found his response interesting since he is from Kansas and writes for the Hays Daily News in Hays, Kansas (pop. 20,000). Since Obama's mother and grandmother were from Kansas a response from another resident of Kansas would be interesting. Of course he may represent a very small minority, I don't know.

>I wonder if Will Manly was this passionately involved in the 2000 and 2004 elections. Like every one with a statement to make he's right in one context but perhaps wrong in another context. For instance, his rail against the immigration problem doesn't mention those that hire the illegals nor their willingness to pay a decent wage. And his rant concerning the comments about PA rural residents clinging to guns, religion, etc... is, like anyone trying to find fault, taking the literal where perhaps the figurative might have been the best interpretation. So, in my mind, his views, while passionate, are his views and the reader should always be encouraged to seek other points of view. For instance: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB121218925042534249.html?mod=opinion_main_commentaries

I echo Will Manly's sentiments, and I've been passionately involved in every election since I turned 18. Obama is a left wing, ultra liberal who wants to destroy all this country stands for. He wants to raise our taxes, take our guns, open the borders to the illegals, and retreat from fighting terrorism. If he's fer it, I'm agin it, you might say!
