Tim,
I think EntityCentric is new to the 3.5 version. Kevin would have to weigh in to say exactly whats going on but it appears that the framework is being setup to assume that you will be using Entity’s and EntityList by default. All the code to use datasets is still there but things like the Business Object Generator don’t fill in any of the old dataset logic like CheckRule(ds, tablename) override that use to get filled in. As far as I can tell there is no option to let the generator know that you want those overrides. I can’t say I’m happy about that! I have a project that’s using datasets and this is causing me no end of headaches. We regenerated the Business objects to use the stored procedures and now we are having to go through and find everywhere that the dataset logic no longer works! All the business process objects are having problems with there rule objects because they no longer send the errorprovider information up to the rules object on the business process. I have a question open on this and am hoping that someone answers it. I think 2.4 was ankle deep in the entity logic and 3.5 has waded in up to its neck.
