That was my reaction as well to the 54-43 split. I sure wouldn't call it a groundswell. I continue to see the Clintons managing this whole process towards their goal of a VP "invitation."

Tonight is her big speech they have been building anticipation about all week. From what I have been reading the alleged objective is to build party unity for November and, oh, by the way, announce that her campaign is being suspended. Isn't suspending your campaign different from conceding? It doesn't sound unifying, that's for sure.

UPDATE: I see from a news story that she technically needs to keep the campaign active to continue raising money. The campaign is about $20 million in debt, including $10 million of her own money, and can only take in money if she has not formally withdrawn. So suspending the campaign is not at odds with conceding.
