I intend to create a new table where a numeric field will be an
integer field instead.

Then I will append all data from the old table, and the numeric
field will be appended to the integer field.

1- Is there any problem on appending directly ?
I have no decimals in the older field.

2- What is the real size of an integer field ?
In build table time it looks like 4, which seems too small
