I'm listening to his speech and he just called for a 2nd stimulus plan (in addition to the IRS checks that are going out) to stimulate the economy.

Hey hey hey... am I going to get 900.00 more dollars of my own money back? :o) Fine with me!

He's talking about more money to the public now - money to struggling home owners, money to folks who have already lost their homes, money to those who cannot afford to attend college, money to help pay for gas, and more. Hmmmm, now I'm wondering: where is it all going to come from?

He's off that and on to healthcare now...(did you know that half of all personal bankruptcies are caused by medical care debts?)

his list:

lower cost per family
no more high prescription costs
no more denying pre-conditions
(promised to accomplish it during his first term)

Now he's on to the tax code reform he wants:

no more tax cuts or tax breaks because they only benefit the rich (he used the tax cuts Exxon receives as an example)

Now he's speaking on taxing large corporations to pay for the increasing energy costs, saving social security, and removing income for seniors earning less than 50,000/yr (I like that last one).

He's speaking on college now - enforcing 100 hours of community service for all college students and in return get a $4000 tax credit (rather difficult for those students working multiple jobs to pay for college - a tax credit is not money in your hands of equal value).

Require senior citizens to donate hours to community service and mentoring in exchange for social security benefits and medicare. (oh my gosh he's losing me now - I sure hope I misunderstood - they have to work to get their own money back now???????)
