I know I heard it, but it may have been in another speech, and I believe you are correct. I think it was optional. I've listened to so many of his speeches now that they are all running together... :o) I need to go back and read them for clarification. To be frank, this is the most specific he's been on his policies. It does lesson the 'unknown' factor somewhat which (based on his history and 'present' votes) was my biggest concern. Some of his comments in earlier speeches have been 'watered down' somewhat over time due to the response he got at the time the speech (or debate) was given. That concerns me as well, however, that is normal behavior during a presidential campaign and not unique to him. At least he is not making up stories of sniper fire :o)
