Yes, Sergey, but I've been running vfp6.0 on a similar but apparently not identical desktop for 5-10 years with never a need to use NOFILTER. There is apparently a configuration issue on the machine to which I've migrated which makes NOFILTER suddenly needed on code which has run problem-free without it. Without getting into semantic discussions, I have to consider NOFILTER a workaround -- it's a fix to offset some other problem or setting I can't identify at this time.
