Thanks for all your efforts. I have stumbled across an answer, Nick was on target with thisform.refresh statement however instead of putting it
into the listbox properties I set it as the last line of code in the seek button onClick event code. Now that the list box is updating I have noticed a considerable time lag in producing a find (20 sec on a 150Mhz PC searching 15,000 records) using the seek code. However using seek in the command window gives and almost instant response. I have tried using both CDX and IDX index to no avail. If this happens to be in the archives some where let me know and I will wait for the search engin to get up and running.
