1940s heavy bombers, other planes could not reach the sites, could not bomb rail tracks. They were not fitted for this task; too small target.
This lame argument about bombing the tracks is propagated by 'blame America first' crowd. Substance means nothing for them. They can blame USA for anti-semitism and zionism in the same sentence.
