I may be the least competent person to burst this bubble, but they say it's the same god guy; they actually call Christians and Jews "the people of The Book", i.e. believers in the same deity. Even during the Ottoman rule, there was the distinction between the muslims (on top), these two religions (tolerated, respected but not allowed to grow much) and the rest (no rights at all).
