The courts have determined that Miranda rights used to not apply to non=citizens, but now they do, The courts decided that illegal aliens have rights today that they didn't have before. The US Constitution refers to "equal protection" which is what the courts have used to give rights to citizens, and now to the universe.

Well, there was a time when the Constitution applied only to (decent) white people. Some people thought it was terrible when that was changed, just as some think today that civilization will end if protections are extended to include hard-working Hispanics or any of those other dirty foreigners. You do realize that future generations will cringe? ;-)

FWIW, non-citizen voting was commonplace in the US including in federal elections from 1776 until the 1920s- that's the first 150 years of US history. Clearly nobody understood the Constitution until comparitively recently, just as people must have misunderstood "no taxation without representation" and other ideas like that. ;-)
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
-- Shakespeare: Coriolanus, Act 1, scene 1
