>I was going to add a wisecrack about technology tailored for "the senior market," then realized it's already being done. Not long ago I saw a magazine ad for a cell phone with large numbers, a louder than usual speaker, limited functions, etc. IIRC you set it up to dial just one or two numbers with the touch of a button. Sort of the "I've fallen and I can't get up" approach. Have seen another ad for a gizmo designed for "grandparents" (pictured in the ad) to receive and print emails, either text or photos. Again the functionality is stripped down to the bare minimum to accomplish basic functions with ultimate simplicity. Maybe that's not such a bad idea, and not just for seniors.

Yeah, there are also cellphones aimed specifically for kids--four big buttons you can pre-program for Mom, Dad, etc.

When I bought cells for my parents, I shopped for ones that had bigger buttons and an easy-to-read display,

It will be interesting to see what happens as our generation ages. Many of us have a much more comfortable relationship with technology than our parents, but it's still a mixed bag.
