I don't think there is something out of the box to do what you want, however, you do have the capablilty to do what is needed based on your needs. You will just need to do some research on the product and you should be able to accomplish what you need to have done.
Bonnie replied with your answer on how to purge (or more accurately, truncate) the log. You perform a backup of the log with the truncate option.
