It was not a bad job (income wise) while in college, but now it is not any more lucrative than earning minimum wage I think - unless you can pull in over a hundred dollars in tips a day which even back then could be done in the right location (the only restaurant in an airport serving Aspen snowbird flights would do that :o)

My daughter works at an upscale restaurant here in Memphis and usually makes at least 100 per day, sometimes 200. She was working at another restaurant that didn't pay as much, so I pushed her towards "Houstons". They are totally anal about their servers and everything else, to the point they make them learn about the history of the chain, the pictures on the walls, and of course all the menu. Dang, I'm getting hungry....
