>>>No argument there. I didn't understand your wording in your original message and misunderstood it to imply that terrorism originated as a result of the U.S. and its policies. This country's policies certainly have caused it to grow and flourish though, no matter its intentions.

>>Whenever a policy starts involving (or evolving around) a taste of Machiavelli, no matter what the goals are, they'll be tarnished by the means used.

>>The longstanding policy of "we don't really have to take the high road when fighting Communism" has done so much damage to the cause of western-style democracy, that the consequences will be felt for at least one more generation. All the possible atrocities were committed - from killing three million Vietnamese in the name of domino theory, to propping a school of the most fanatic mujahedeen and the taliban regime, just to make USSR have its own Vietnam, allowing a witch hunt to happen on American soil again, overthrowing democratically elected governments all over South America (9/11... 1973), allowing holes in the wall separating church and state to be torn, wasting billions of dollars and innumerable natural resources on paranoid armament race and overkill ratio... just because of what, few thousand big money owners being scared stoolless if wealth redistribution was reversed? So everything is allowed just because of that?

>Islam wants the world and will stop at nothing to get it. Koran.

And, nowadays that the communists don't really count for much anywhere, why are the US helping them (Moslems, I mean) in Europe?
