My question is I have created web services and I have created web applications but I would like to combine these into a single project or solution. My current solution contains a web and some other supporting projects. If I just add a folder for my web service within the web and then add an asmx file in that folder would I be missing anything to support the web service? Do I need a specific web.config file in there to make the web service available?

So far, I always have done it using two separate projects. I do not know if that is possible and if yes, how would it work in compile mode as once compiled, you end up with one DLL.
