I don't know about MERE (activex thus multiplatform) , but I krafted this project specifically not to step on oher people feet.
I started all this in PDFL/XFRX years back and last thing on my mind would be to compete with it. I still use XFRX myself.

ReportSculptor simply delegates output for conversion there, rather then venturing
into conversion handlers itself (which is BTW doable!)
It does export to PDF and TIF but that functionality was publicly available prior
publishing Report Sculptor (tif listener, frx2pdf , PDF listeneres etc), so competition with
commercial FRX converters is very hard to imply here.

For instance, I purposely avoided venturing into RTF rendering, the moment I realised that MoxieObject
are doing that and instead contacted Bo Durban to help me provide hooks to MO so his (licenced)
users can take advantage of it within ReportSculptor foundation.

It is NOT competition to HighEnd Custom/EndUser/Query/Datamining/reporting tools such is your own
reporting tool (STQ) for instance neighter;

Report Sculptor operates at completely different (lower) level and it is
geared towards developers enabling them to, at first do freely
any kind of reports but more importantly - build their own OOP reporting functionalities.

It is foremost free paging engine. Being pure foxpro objects it enables
building of various NEW TOOLS by community/people themselves. OOP reporting tools at that!
Foundation itself is of course also tool capable of building any kind of reports,
but focus is on expanding reporting design possibilities/concepts and
also elevating VFP reporting by moving it gradually into fully OOP environment.
Is there any other tool venturing in this direction that I am not aware of ?

Report Sculptor Foundation is genuine present to VFP community and should
not be looked as anything else but that. There is nothing hidden behind.
It is only me (with advance of GDIPLUSX) finally being able to fulfill
my own dreams (when it comes to reporting) and sharing that dream
with FoxPro community.

As for VFPX, I don't know;
I had somewhat different reasons for not applying,
but now I got indirect confirmation that VFPX would in fact have problems hosting something like this.

Would you be kind enough to exlain why ; Which part exactly you consider (VFPX) prohibiting ?
