>>>GO ROCCO!!!!!!.

>>I felt the same way, and it was nothing against Tiger. Mediate seems like a really likable guy and he didn't wilt going head to head with Tiger for two days straight.
>>
>>Alas, it was not to be. Mediate let a couple of chances slip away and Tiger got him. It's OK, look how many fans he gained. Not to mention the million dollar second place purse.

>Rocco should get some well deserved sponsorships out of this too. But I gotta wonder will he ever get another chance at a major after this, let alone the US Open? I hope so.
Despite his ranking, Rocco is certainly no Ben Curtis or Todd Hamilton in terms of name recognition. The ranking is more a reflection of his health rather than his ability to play golf. Through the years he's been one of those guys you would never pick as a favorite, but when his name is on the leader board nobody should ever be surprised. I think this should be true of the majors as well as regular tour events.
I don't know if he'll ever get another chance quite like this one, But (and it's a big but) if he stays healthy another run is certainly possible.
