Don't know what happened with Barry. He resigned from the Fox user group maybe 7 yrs ago. And that was the last I heard anything about him. Not sure bout Dan either. I haven't been to any Fox meeting in maybe 3 yrs. Although at one point at my last gig I worked on a fairly large Fox dev team and more in touch with what was going on in the VFP world.

I had an interview at Countrywide maybe 5 yrs ago. I can't remember the manager I interviewed with, but he was unquestionably the biggest ahole I've ever met in an interview. I met someone who worked in that division in a dotnet class and she said how everyone who worked there hated the guy, but upper management liked him.

I have a buddy who's there now on contract who likes it. Says the guy I didn't like was actually booted upstairs and is a VP now. And the devs are happy about that. So it sounds like a much better place to work then when I interviewed there.

Greg - Sorry, I didn't think about it until now. But if you forward your resume to me, I can send it to my friend who's at Countrywide now. Maybe that'll help rather then going thru a recruiter.

>I almost took a contract position 8 years ago in Los Angeles but it would have been hell with the family being in Tallahassee. Isn't Barry Lee still out there somewhere? Dan Freeman?
>
>Side note to Greg: Perry's got a good idea with this one. Countrywide is a good gig. When I was at MS Ken frequently contacted them and I talked to them, too, a few times. Cool apps.

>>As others have mentioned there is an opening in Los Angeles. From what I understand, due to the BofA takeover of Countrywide, Countrywide has been ordered to hold back on converting their main Foxpro app to dotnet. So they are in the market for VFP people.
>>
>>Although I had an interview there 5 yrs or so ago and was not impressed with the interviewers, if you need a job, they do pay fairly well. I think the VFP job advertised in Los Angeles on Dice by several recruiters is the same one at Countrywide. I know for sure the one that says Agora Hills is Countrywide. Although another says Calabasas, and Calabasas is fairly close to Agora Hills.
