Sorry you feel that way, but that was a rule we established before VFPX even went public. Most of the people who've created commercial products for the VFP market have also contributed to the VFP community in many other ways. For example, Rick Strahl has created West Wind Web Connection but has also spoken at conferences, blogged, and written a lot of articles and white papers to help VFP developers understand very complex but useful topics. Do we really want to then turn around and thank him by promoting a free competitor to his product and take away his livelihood? You may have a different opinion, but the administrators of VFPX decided the answer was no.

Anyone who submits a project to VFPX and is rejected on these grounds is free to create their own project on Codeplex.
