It is somewhat similar by day length and by work load. To be precise, doctors workload is higher and, more important, includes potential liability. It is better say that their work conditions could be called 'sweatshop' meaning hard work. I am sorry if my analogy to software world was incomplete; though payscale ratio was correct.
