2) Again, correct. I double click on the mergefield in the Word doc and rename the mergefield to match my cursor's field name.
>2) I believe your merge fields are identified by "projectno", "title", "fy", "remarks". Any others? How are they identified in the word doc?

3) I think you are simply commenting here, right? Yes-there are a lot of ways to write the code. What I found was that I'd start on a path indicated by an example only to find that it had a major flaw for what in particular I wanted to accomplish. So, I ended up with a very kludgy-but-works-and-the-client's happy solution. I plan on revisiting this with VFP 6.0.
