Supreme Court has ruled that the death penalty is just too cruel and unusual for those who rape children. ( I believe there is some thought of rehabilitating them and making them productive members of the community again )
Well, despite the carping of those nasty old conservative dissenters who just want to kill everybody and are stupid like Bush and evil like Cheney, I think the court did not go far enough. I believe child-rapists should not be imprisoned at all but rather released into the community ... where they could be hunted for sport.
Kudos to Obama. After proper caveats about provisions and safeguards and limits (so as not to give his base the vapors) he sided with the conservative justices on this one. He ain't stupid and and he ain't Dukakis. That bodes well for his future.
