I have a small VFP project (EXE) that runs on numerous remote small file server computers.and checks a central SQL database for certain data. The remote computers will run Windows Server (2000, or 2003)

It just checks every 5 minutes and I want that program to have LEAST impact on preformance of the remote computers it is running on.

Would it be better to just run the foxpo exe as a Windows Service?
