To make a long stroy short, the application will just be a timer program

It will have a wait window timeout xxx and then it will be in a continous loop that looks at a SQL data table (on Internet). If certain data has changed, it will run a local data collection routine and send teh data to the master server on teh Internet.

So it is the SAME LOAD on the workstation (or server) it runs on no mater if it is a VFP EXE or a Windows Service???
