Recently I built a cliënt-server application with the following characteristics:
- n-tier (50 business-objects)
- Oracle spatial database as backend
- VFP/VMP cliënt
- VFP 9 SP2, VMP 2005

Now my customer wants to give webbased access to a few co-workers. More or less the same interface has to be available on the web-client (VFP). So I created a COM object from one of my businessobjects for test-purposes. Then tried to create a webservice with the SOAP toolkit. But people tell me its better to create a webservice with ASP.NET (Rick Strahl). Both options I could not get to work (IIS 6 or 7).

Does anyone have advice and/or experience in building a webservice for this purpose? (examples?)
