>Like Mike, I haven't read the article, only heard/saw a couple of summaries. But if the administration is doing things that are meant to lead to war in Iran, I want to know, I want Congress to know, I want the world to know.

That's all well in and good if you're talking about a proposed arms deal with Saudi Arabia. But certain kinds of activity being exposed in this fashion mean good people being put at great risk. It is not the way to oppose a policy with which you disagree. Phillip Agee was convinced he was on the side of the angels when he got some very good people killed. It is really irresponsible and reflects a political mindset that really doesn't see the consequences but is primarily concerned with scoring political points.
Charles Hankey
Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy
Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.
-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin
Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
