Hey, Tracy, don't get me wrong - there are a number of liberals who have nothing to prove in the way of national security. Historically, George McGovern - a B24 pilot in WWII - was one of them. And I am doggone sure there are liberals ... social liberals ... on duty right now.
What I am referring to, of course, are the anti-military effetes.
>Pardon me, but I know a few 'liberals' who are as brave as the best of them and have proven it in combat. There are some 'liberals' who are completely liberal in their beliefs
except when it comes to national defense and national security. They are not here obviously, but they do exist and some of them are in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other parts unknown right now.
>
>I realize you are not referring to them, but for lurkers, I wanted to make sure they are counted.

>>>Liberals don't care about war, because they don't fight. They believe in surrender, at all costs. I'm afraid, I believe in protecting our interests, and doing so before the fact!
>>
>>I'm with you there, pal. But Mike's a great guy and I'm hopeful will see the error of his ways in this particular issue.
>>
>>I find it interesting that liberals constantly have to lash out at anyone who questions their patriotism. Even when it hasn't happened. Perhaps a little insecurity is in play?
>>
>>In a sane, rational world, POW and long-time national security expert McCain would eat Obama for lunch in terms of whom is ready for the White House. But we live in a world where objectivity and insight is defined by cretins like Seymour Hersh.
