The part I find both funny and sad is when my coworker showed me the article last Friday, the first thing I did was google "Obama's 50 Lies". The first link was to snoopes.com that did a pretty good job of debunking at least 48 of the 50. With the last 2 being kind of questionable still.

Yet some of the other links that displayed from rightwing blogs had headings of "Obama's 50 Lies -- as verified by snoopes.com".

>A McCain fan posted a link to it here the other day.

>>There is a document floating out in cyber space, "Obama's 50 Lines". Which has been discredited serveral times over. Yet just yesterday a coworker received it from his McCain fan brother.

>>>I don't recall any Republican luminaries denigrating Kerry's service in Vietnam, but the Swiftboat group was successful in discrediting Kerry fo a large segment of the public. In a similar manner, Obama's patriotism has been questioned, and he felt the need to respond.

If I called him unpatriotic, my words carry no weight in the public sphere, but if a group of Republican Senators did, it would be different. I guess McCain should start complaining about the comments made about him here on the UT?

Goes to my earlier point in that Democrats, at least the left-leaning ones, seem to believe they have to constantly state their patriotism even when not under duress. To me, that signifies insecurity.
