Yes, the quote about sinking endlessly was from one of our economists back then, who was actually working for the UN and had the luxury of not having to worry about survival and the million percent inflation. I guess the guy based his expertise on cases like Argentina, Germany between the wars, Hungary's record inflation and several others.
My comment was on the economy in general, not just the stock market. The market may actually live a different life.
