I agree. Let's take away everything that could be used as a deadly weapon just in case someone turns into a non-law abiding citizen and uses them to commit a crime: vehicles, all medications (they could be used them to commit suicide or poison someone else - they are much too handy), knives, fireplace pokers (how many movies have we seen where the assailant hits the victim over the head with the poker?), cast iron pans (a mother and her daughter fought off a home-invader using those and actually seriously injured the invader), etc...
