>This option is presently being removed. I haven't finished the last part yet. This icon will be removed soon. As per the last survey, this option is causing too many problems, too many confusions and is really CPU intensive. Basically, when you refresh for new messages, this will do it automatically from now on.

I don't remember the exact question on the survey ... I hope I responded by objecting to this. <g> But I'm guessing I'm in the minority. =0(

So basically now, everytime I refresh, it will automatically assume that I have read all the posts in Chatter, SQL Server and VFP even if I haven't (.NET is my main forum, so it has automatically done it for that one all along). I don't like it, but I guess I'm stuck with it.

And the number of messages at the top (new messages created during my session), now reflect ALL messages in the forums to which I subscribe? It used to just indicate new messages in my main forum (.NET) ... again, I much prefer it the old way. Oh well ... =0(

>>You know the little icon next to the Forum that you can click on to indicate that you've read those messages, so that the next time you do a Refresh, you no longer get those messages? Example:
>>
>>+ Microsoft SQL Server [31] * (where * is the icon)
>>
>>Well, it seems to work ok (IOW, the messages don't show up when I do a Refresh), but the little icon remains instead of disappearing when I click on it. So basically, I have no indication as to whether I've clicked the icon or not.
