IME if you just keep beating on people whether they do good or bad, it always turns sour.
In this case, these two people are definitely the most prolific visible presenters at conferences and user groups, for no fee if I understand correctly. And now they made this gesture. Sheesh, somebody apart from their buddies has to say something.
If people want to poke sticks, take a look at the "contribution" record of certain other MVPs! That's a much more valid target IMHO.
