OK, well, thanks for the explanation. I still prefer the old way and I don't see why people thought it was confusing. But, if it makes things easier on your end, then I guess we'll have to go with it.

Anybody else agree with me or am I the only one??

>>So basically now, everytime I refresh, it will automatically assume that I have read all the posts in Chatter, SQL Server and VFP even if I haven't (.NET is my main forum, so it has automatically done it for that one all along). I don't like it, but I guess I'm stuck with it.

>Yes, that's pretty much how it works. The other option was used but only from a few members. The support of all this was really too big for its used and new members algo got confused a lot about this. For a while, we have responded to pratically all requests from members. But, over the years, I have discovered that some of those requests were really going too far and it was a show stopper for the ongoing evolution of the product. This was also related to a performance issue and we are already much better now even if I still have about 5% to go before the complete migration. However, we also provide a lot of tools to retrieve past message. But, if there are something more you would believe would help in that direction, do not hesite to let me know.

>Yes, it's universal as well. But, as I said, you were among some very rare members who used it and, from those, some were simply not even aware of the default mode and they just used it as is. The default mode is now the only mode and it will help me a lot to proceed on ongoing issues about migrating, enhancing and responding to the members needs.
