I have a problem seeing google maps properly on my laptop (this one as it happens)

The maps don't display (I just get grey) or stop displaying properly as I zoom in. Sometimes I get blocks of map and blocks of grey.

This happens in IE and FF.

I've got google earth here as well and that works perfectly .

I've tried clearing browser history cookies etc. Anyone got any ideas what the problem could be.

I'm running Vista home premium. An old desktop I also use sometimes with XP Home doesn't have the problem.
