Where is the dbf of my cursor?

The DBF file is named something like 292377372.TMP and is whereever temp files are located in your Win installation. Now, having said that, if you exit VFP and look for 292377372.TMP you won't find it because it is destroyed when you release the table or Quit VFP.

I don't think you're going to be able to run ALTER TABLE against a cursor.

Check to make sure you are leaving the cursor open for all you want to do....once you close it, it's gone.
