Yup. Both candidates try to move to the center (not the right) before the general election. That's politics. What might be interesting going forward is how much each candidate is painted as a phony because of it. Obama is in the lesser position because in his primary run he was nowhere near a centrist so every position change he makes rings a lot more loudly than McCain. OTOH, McCain not only has to appear to be a moderate but also bring back those conservations he's alienated over the years.
